AP Fund Round-Up: AP3 CIO Passes Away

As well as preparing for new investment regulations from early 2019 and maintaining progress on sustainability, Sweden's AP funds recently suffered the loss of Mårten Lindeborg, AP3's highly regarded CIO and Deputy CEO. On August 9, AP3 broke the news that Mårten Lindeborg, its CIO and Deputy CEO, had died. In a statement on its website, AP3 said: "It is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we must announce that Mårten Lindeborg has passed away after a short illness. Mårten has been an important, dear colleague and an appreciated leader at AP3". Lindeborg, who was in his forties, had been at AP3 since 2009, joining as head of strategic asset allocation, before becoming head of asset management in 2014. He was made CIO and deputy CEO in 2015.
