Mark Burgess Helps Aussie Superfund Assemble In-House Team Mark Burgess, former managing director and president of Australia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Future Fund, has joined the Health Employees Superannuation Trust (HESTA), as chair of its newly formed investment committee. The Australian superfund, which manages A$37 billion ($28 billlion) in pension assets for healthcare and community-service workers – more than 80% of whom are women – has just started build its first in-house investment team, which Burgess will oversee as the committee’s inaugural chairman.
